The National Science and Technology Forum (NSTF) has announced the nominees for its prestigious NSTF-South32 Awards for 2020. We congratulate Professor Judith Kinnaird, our Co-Director, for her nomination in the Management category. 

 

Professor Raymond Durrheim, a distinguished geophysicist who specialises in seismic research at the University of the Witwatersrand, and Professor Jan Kramers, a world-renowned geologist at the University of Johannesburg,  are both nominated in the Lifetime Award category. This is, indeed, a high honour for them to be recognised for their outstanding academic careers.

 

We are still proud of our former Director, Professor Nic Beukes, winning this category in 2018.
