Prof Nic Beukes, Director of DST-NRF CIMERA, was invited to speak about some of the results of the KARIN drilling project and their implications for shale gas exploration in South Africa. His talk is entitled “Questioning the existence of an economic producible shale gas resource in the southern Main Karoo Basin based on results of the CIMERA-Karin drilling project”.
