Harry Brown has worked as a coal geologist and as a well-site geologist in offshore oil exploration. He is a Fellow of The Geological Society of South Africa. He has extensive experience in lecturing a wide range of Geology-related subjects to Mining, Metallurgical, Surveying, Civil Engineering and Geology students. Subjects lectured include Environmental Geology, Structural Geology, Mining Geology, Geological Mapping, Geotechniques, Applied Geology, Stratigraphy and Engineering Geology. He has managed various community projects related to Environmental Health and Rural Water Quality. His current specialisation is the presentation and development of tailor-made short courses for non-graduate employees in the Minerals and related industries.
